San Jose's quieter side.     A downtown like any other.

San Jose is the capital of Costa Rica and is as busy as any city in the world. Hopefully you won't go to Costa Rica to eat the same fast food you can find back home, but those places are here. Although Costa Rica's national language is Spanish, there is a lot of European influence. Every type of ethnic food you can think of can be found in San Jose, and in a lot of the smaller towns as well.

San Jose is filled with parks and they are popular with the locals as well as tourists. San Jose is called the land of eternal springtime for good reason. Daytime temperatures are always in the seventies and evenings rarely dip past the mid fifties. There is little variation from month to month and it has never snowed in San Jose.
